Pure nickel done right. I have tried numerous pure nickel wrap strings, and these are by far the best sounding and longest lasting in my opinion. The biggest difference that seems to set these apart from the others (DR, GHS, Gibson, etc.) is the phenomenal resonant low end these have. They’re not boomy or bassy, there’s just a muscular and resonant character to them, with excellent sustain. They must have nailed the core/wrap sizing just right, or something. Always Come Back To Ernie Ball For years, I have used Earnie Ball strings. I like them because to me, they are always reliable, sound good, and a they feature a small thing that means a lot to me: Each string is in it’s own package. It really gets under my skin with this two string per bag crap many companies sell. I really don’t mind absorbing the extra few cents it must cost to use 6 envelopes instead of 3.
