the sound you expect with better feeling at least for me, it does feels better, more flexible, perfect for bending and tremolo bridges. more freedom on that regard. I got the 10 mm, but tension and flexibility feels like a 9. I really like these new strings. I’ll update in a month or two about durability.

Lose brightness quick Put new D’addario XT 10 to 46 guage strings on my white epiphone les paul on 11/30/2019 and they lost brightness within a week. They’re still on my epiphone and I’m just seeing how long they last, bought them because they were a new item and I normally use the regular D’addario XL 10 to 46 guage strings on my white epiphone les paul.

Inferior to the more refined sound of EXP strings Too bright. I liked the EXP coated strings specifically because they had a slightly mellow sound, a certain finesse and softness to the way they created tones, even though you could still get aggressive with them if you wanted. These new XT strings are more in-your-face and unrefined. I wouldn’t have a problem with these strings if they’d kept the EXP strings in production. But they’ve discontinued those in favor of these.
